What do you wish you knew before grad school?
I wish I had known the "rules of the game" instead of the idealistic bullshit people tell undergrads.
That is what this book aims to help you learn.
Before I learned the "rules of the game", I enjoyed most of my academic experiences, but there was some friction. The replication crisis was a source of quite a bit of disillusionment, too.
Now that I have come to understand the "rules of the game", I have learned to love the process again. I understand that publications are the currency of academia and that works for me because I love writing.
